Your flyfishing trip will start when you arrive at the international airport in Male, the capital of the Maldives. There, you will be met by one of the GTF crew, who will accompany you to the domestic flight that will take you directly to the mothership. Once aboard, you will be accommodated in your cabin, fully equipped with air conditioning, a private toilet, and a shower.

Moments later, you will be on your way to the fishing grounds, enjoying a cold drink and a snack. Once settled and unpacked, there will be a briefing about what the mission will entail over the next 8 days. We will also go through a tackle and tactics talk, reviewing your setups as they are assembled. Onboard, the GTF pop-up Tackle Shop will provide any additional gear you might need.

The chef on board is Sri Lankan, and the menu will feature Sri Lankan and South Indian cuisine, including fresh fish and shellfish, with a choice of continental breakfasts. Additionally, there is a well-stocked bar onboard offering beverages at fair prices.

There will be a choice between enjoying lunch on the mothership or out on the reef. Our squid and grill master, Ibrahim, will occasionally showcase his culinary skills by preparing fresh, delicious meals in the field.

The next morning, you’ll wake up in some of the most pristine fishing grounds in the world, enjoying breakfast at sunrise. True adventurers, we’ll mount the skiffs and begin the day’s fishing: walking the reefs and surf zones, scouting for fish. This will be the scenario for the next 8 days.

Every day, our guide crew will do their very best to give you the best chance of landing some big fish, while ensuring exceptional service throughout.

As the days go by, the mothership will take you around the atoll, offering new scenery each day, with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. You may even encounter dolphins and manta rays—a true slice of paradise.

On day nine, we’ll fish for a few hours en route back to the airport. There, we’ll bid you farewell and wish you a safe journey home.
